Course Duration:

12 weeks (or longer if the student prefers to stay longer than usual)

TOEFL Score of at least 40 during the assessment test.


What is TOEFL?

The Test Of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL) has is often taken by students who are planning to study at a university abroad and scholarship candidates, along with students and workers who are applying for visas and English-language learners tracking their English progress. Certain universities will state that a student is required to take the TOEFL and the minimum grade required to apply for the course is indicated.



TARGET SCORE GUIDELINES


 Students target score is given after the student takes the assessment test.

 The student after taking the Assessment Test. If they get 40 as their score… An amount of 20 points is added; Making their target score 60. Once they take their mock test they must get a higher score. If they get 50 on the 1st mock test it is allowed as their previous score was 40. The next exam should not fall below 50. To summarize, the student must increase or maintain their score after each exam.

 The Student is not allowed to go below the highest score they have attained. If their highest score was 6.0 then they must maintain that score or get a higher score.

 The student should not get a total of 3 failed mock exams as it will result to having no refund.

Note: Even if there will be no refund we will still guarantee the student that they will get their target score if they study harder. The student can still continue with finishing their course.

 If on the next exam (2nd exam) the student is unable to reach their expected progress (ex. Instead of getting 50 or 55 they scored a 45). It is equivalent to having failed the test and must follow the course policy with regards to failing the mock test.

 On the account of failing their test, counseling will be given by their assigned “Teacher-Adviser”. They will be assessed to what their need for improvement is.

 On the instance that they have surpassed their expected target score. (Ex. Target score is 60 but the student has been scoring 70, 75, 80). The target score will not change and will remain as is.

 If the student has already taken the actual test. The test score’s valid for one month only. The student is still required to take the assessment test. Upon receiving the score from the assessment; Both scores (Actual exam score and Assessment Test Score) will be compared. The lower score will be used as the basis for their target score.

 Students who scored lower than 40 during the assessment test are to take 1 month of General ESL course. Provided that after one month, they are to retake the assessment test and must score above 40. They can finish the remaining 12 week Sparta program after but with no guarantee.

Option A

Option A(No Guarantee) Duration = 12 Weeks
General ESL 4 Weeks
TOEFL Sparta 8 Weeks

  Students who scored lower than 40 during the assessment test are to take 1 month of General ESL course. Provided that after one month, they are to retake the assessment test and must score above 40. They can then enroll to the 12 week Sparta program after with Guarantee.

Option B

Option B(with Guarantee) Duration = 16 Weeks
General ESL 4 Weeks
TOEFL Sparta 12 Weeks

 Students who scored lower than 40 during the assessment test can choose to take 3 months of General ESL course. Provided that after 3 months, they are able to get a score above 40. They can then enroll to the 12 week Sparta program with guarantee.

Option C

Option C(with Guarantee) Duration = 24 Weeks
General ESL 12 Weeks
TOEFL Sparta 12 Weeks

 If they still do not reach the expected score of above 40 they are advised that their score is not guaranteed and that the course is none refundable. They may continue to join the course and finish their education. They can also enroll for General ESL.



SUBJECT CLASS CONTENT
VOCABULARY Different words are presented and how they are used. Sample sentences are given for them to be guided.
READING Can be very challenging but this subject highlights the best strategies that would help students arrive at the correct answer. Comprehension, generalization and linguistic skills are developed in this subject.
LISTENING Can be very hard since listening to a native speaker is not a common interest for most Asian students but this subject highlights the best strategies that would help them arrive at the correct answer. Comprehension, assumption and linguistic skills are developed in this subject.
WRITING Are presented and students are taught on the techniques in how to write them. Writing topics are presented and students are taught on the techniques in answering the written tests.
SPEAKING Question type familiarization. Students are trained how to respond to certain questions by finding the key points, right words, effective strategy and eventually deliver the best answers.
COACHING This subject would provide the student an assigned Teacher-Adviser who will assist them with their progress and also help them understand the lessons that they have difficulty. The Teacher-Adviser will track their daily progress and will further guide them as course goes on.
